From that point Local Unions were chartered throughout the United States and Canada. Local #534 in Boston Massachusetts was chartered on May 31st, 1915 . On July 17, 1883 Plasterers’ Local #10 was chartered.
In 1995 Local #10 and local #534 merged to become The Boston Plasterers’ & Cement Masons’ Local #534. The Association covers work jurisdiction of both Plasterer’ and Cement Masons’. Our geographical jurisdiction covers
Massachusetts , Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Our membership numbers are in excess of 400 Cement Masons’ and Plasterers’. Local 534 has over 30 signatory Contractors that perform various types of work in the Concrete and Plastering industries.
